Eyebrow Transplants in Johannesburg

For brows lost to years of plucking, thinning with age, or scars. Real hair that grows, not makeup and not tattooing.

When brows do not come back

Eyebrows are less forgiving than scalp hair. Pluck the same hairs for enough years and the follicles eventually give up. Age thins brows too, especially the outer ends, and scars from cuts or burns leave gaps that never fill in. Pencils, powders and microblading cover the gap for a while, but they wash off, fade or blur.

An eyebrow transplant is different. It moves living follicles from the back of your head into the brow line, where they grow as real hair.

Fine work in a small space

An eyebrow takes far fewer grafts than a scalp, but each one matters more. Brow hairs grow almost flat against the skin, fanning in different directions across the brow: upward near the nose, outward along the arch, and slightly downward at the tail. Every graft is a single hair, placed at that angle, one at a time.

We design the shape with you before we start. Fuller, more defined, or simply back to what they were. It is drawn on and agreed before a single graft is placed.

What to expect

The procedure is done in one visit under local anaesthetic. Small scabs form along the brow and clear within about a week, and most people are comfortable in public in a few days. The new hairs shed after a few weeks and then return for good, with the full result at around six months.

One honest note: because the hair comes from your scalp, it keeps growing like scalp hair. A quick trim every few weeks keeps the brows in shape. Most clients find that a small price for real, permanent brows.

Both men and women have this procedure. If you would like a sense of pricing first, see how our quotes work.

Common Questions

Your Questions, Answered

Do transplanted eyebrows keep growing?
Yes. The hair comes from your scalp and keeps scalp growth habits, so it needs a light trim every few weeks to hold its shape.
Is it better than microblading?
They are different things. Microblading is a tattoo that fades and needs redoing. A transplant is your own living hair, permanent and three dimensional. Many clients come to us after years of microblading touch ups.
How long does it take to see results?
The transplanted hairs shed in the first month, which is normal, then regrow from around month three. The full result shows at about six months.
Can you fix a scar through my eyebrow?
Usually yes. Grafts can be placed directly into scar tissue to carry hair across the gap.
